Reception at the Consulate General of Russia in Edinburgh on the occasion of Russia Day
On 12 June 2015 a reception on the occasion of the National Day of Russia was hosted by the Consulate General of Russia in Edinburgh. The event was attended by the representatives of the Scottish Parliament and Government, local authorities, business, academia and Russian community, as well as the Veterans of the Great Patriotic War and the Arctic Convoys.
The guests were addressed by the Consul General of Russia in Edinburgh Andrey Pritsepov as well as by the Convener of the Scottish Parliament's Group on Russia Rob Gibson MSP and the of the Arctic Convoys Veteran Geoffrey Shelton.
The event featured Russian XIX and XX centuries songs performed by Glasgow-based ‘Russkaya Capella' choir.
