Russian Photography Exhibition opened in Edinburgh

On 25 June 2015 the exhibition of photographs by renown Russian photographer Vladimir Mishukov was opened in Edinburgh at the St Mary's Cathedral with the support of the Consulate General of Russia in Edinburgh.

The ‘Inseparable' exhibition tells the story of people with Dawn's syndrome and revealing their reach world, showing striking personality of every individual.

Commenting the theme chosen for this series of works Vladimir Mishukov said: ‘There are many boundaries between people in our world. Boundaries of misunderstanding and differences. I want this boundaries cease to exist'.

Speaking at the exhibition's opening Consul General of Russia in Edinburgh Andrey Pritsepov noted: ‘These works are very personal, very intimate, very subtle to the very fingertips, which reflects the richness and sophistication of Russian culture and not least the sensitivity and empathy of the Russian soul. The artists like Vladimir are the best Ambassador for our country, as they making it possible for you to take Russia at its face value, not as it is portrayed abroad.'

‘Inseparable' will be on display at the St Mary's Episcopal Cathedral (Palmerston Place, Edinburgh, EH12 5AW, free entry) daily until 18 July 2015.
