On 27 November 2014, while on a visit in Scotland for participation in an International conference, Ambassador of the Russian Federation in the United Kingdom Alexander Yakovenko met senior representatives of the major Scottish parties and briefed them on Russian-British relations. Areas of economic cooperation between Russian regions and Scotland were also discussed.
